Having just returned from our first camping trip at Waveney River Centre and being so impressed with their luxury private wetrooms, does anybody have any suggestions of campsites that have similar facilities?? (Waveneys had 12 individual wet rooms with shower/loo/sink/hairdryer with heated floors).
Thanks in advance, Jacquie

Slightly off topic, but did you have any difficulties navigating down the narrow lane to that site? we have considered it, but were rather put off by the possibility of having to reverse the caravan a far distance back into apassing place if we were to meet a car or caravan exiting the site at the same time.
Also are the caravan pitches level or do you need chocks?
Thanks,
Julia

I actually don't like wet rooms because they tend to get totally steamed up and running with water from the previous user. The floor and loo seats get wet, toilet paper damp, etc. Not very hygienic I wouldn't have thought.
Carnon Downs CC (affiliated) site, near Truro, Cornwall have them and they are wonderful!

We were camping but from the caravan pitches I saw there were pretty level. There are a couple of routes in, both narrow, but the one via Aldeby would be worse for caravan as the road has high grass verges, the route in via Haddiscoe would be a lot easier. There were plenty of caravans there over Easter weekend though... The site is fab!

Site owner speaking - so I can't claim to be impartial! Our wet rooms are not really quite like that, they do have a shower screen and so the rest of the room doesn't get wet. The underfloor heating combined with our low-carbon heat recovery ventilation system means that the whole room stays dry, warm and basically nothing like you describe! Come & give us a try if you don't believe me!
Thanks for all the positive feedback, we've been really pleased with the comments both on- and off-line.

A little too far for me just for a weekend but thanks for the offer and glad to hear your wet rooms are...er...dry.
The C&CC site at Tavistock has similar although not with underfloor heating as far as I remember, although I stand to be corrected on that. The rooms have shower, washbasin and WC in them, very roomy.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
