Have just returned from a fab week at Bashley, and, following a thread that was posted on this site a short while ago that said that the football field was going to be turned into a touring field, I did a bit of nosying around and asked them what was happening......
Apparently, the paddock to the left of Aspen touring field as you go into the site also belongs to Bashley, and Hoburne want to turn it into a field full of Eurotents!!Planning hasn't been given yet, but staff don't seem too happy about it because they are the one's who will have to erect the tents at the start of the season, clean them throughout the season then take them all down again!!Would like to hear your opinions on that;I think it just means that the on site facilities will be busier.
New static areas have now been done just inside C field-opposite the shop but to the right a bit. There's about 8 new plots just waiting for their 'vans! This is about as far as they are going though as Hoburne can't get planning for anymore. So the tourers are safe thank goodness-as a family we really do love the site and would be gutted if they decided to go for all statics.
The other thing that they are looking at is the ladies loo's in Aspen field-as you walk into the ladies, there is another area of toilets to the right that is always gated off and never used;there is now talk that they may be turned into family bathrooms which would be handy!!

Hi, have heared a few things about this site, is it really that good? We are thinking about booking for July. We have a 4 year out and a 2 year old. More importantly, would they like it?!
Thanks.

We went on a CC rally some years ago here, it was great. Going on the rally we paid a fraction of the price you would normally pay to stay there. It's definately worth looking into.
Okay, its not, we are there twice this year, cos it is the best. But only trouble now is getting the booking you want. Our next week is end of May which we booked last October, and still could not get the pitch we wanted!

Might bump into you Martinez, we are there at the end of May.

Best ones will already be booked for sure.
Basically all the 'all service ' ones are the best, try and avoid those under the big trees as you get no sun and it always looks a bit gloomy.
Love the site TKMAXX-we go twice a year and friends own a static there so we meet up with them.Ideal for a 4 and 2 year old-it was full at easter, but always goes quiet in the evening.Nice and flat for bikes and all pitches are hardstanding.Lots of facilities and loos and showers always clean.
