Hi Debbie, Our visit was out of season and 18 months ago so things in peak season may be better but we werent impressed and wouldnt return.
Site was a bit tatty, but it was a wet week, new toilet block, but not regularly cleaned (site was very quiet, but still!). We booked it thinking it would be a good base but in reality it was just too far from anywhere. On the plus side, our son loved the games room, the bar/take away looked nice but cant testify to quality as it was close and the views from the back garden area were impressive.

We have just returned from Bowdens - spent 7 nights there over this Easter. Had a great time. Had takeout one night & had a Roast on the Sunday, both were excellent. Our kids loved the Egg painting/rolling on Easter Sunday. Lovely site & very friendly place, we are trying to work out when we can go back again, but due to work commitments it may not be as soon as we would wish. Lots to see and do in the area - Glastonbury a must! Wookey discount tickets can be purchased in the site shop. Have a good holiday - lets hope we get as good a summer as the weather men say.
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
We stayed at Bowdens back in February (see my review), just for one night.
All facilites top notch. Bar/restaurant was fantastic and doggie friendly (v v important to us). The owners were some of the friendlies we've ever met!
Enjoy!
