Woo Hoo!!   Have booked Fforest Fields for the Whitsun Bank Holiday   This will be our very first outing as campers.

We are looking for recommendations for local places for a bite to eat - wouldn't do any harm if it was also a pub

I know Fforest Fields is a firm favorite with many on the forum - hence why I booked it for our maiden voyage.

In Aberedw (Katie and George can give you a map to walk to this village.  It's a brilliant walk!) there's a pub called the Seven Stars.  They do lovely food and the staff are friendly.  (You can get a taxi back if you don't fancy the return walk. )

We'll be arriving at Fforest Fields on BH Monday.  Might see you there.  Good luck with your first outing!

Didn't rate the Indian takeaway in Builth Wells. Oversweetened and underspiced, IMHO.

I agree the dansak is a bit sweet but my wife likes it and it makes a change from the fire breathing one where I live.
