hi, we fancy just driving off and camping tomorrow but we have phoned around quite a few camp sites in the camp site search and can't find anywhere that has a vacancy. is there any one there now who can tell us if there is pitch space on their site. would love EHU but can do without it.

thanks

Waterside House Campsite, has a lot of pitches, not EHU though. Worth a phone call.

-------------
Canvas tent, paraffin light, petrol stove. Heaven
I'd rather be kayaking.
Spent up, not pent up, just had my new tent up.

Try Tarn Foot Farm next to Loughrigg Tarn grasmere/ambleside. They are usually quiet and don't really advertise. 01539 432596 ring em if basic and beautiful is what you like.

Tis a lovely little farm with hens running about. Just toilet/sink, not sure about showers or EHU. It's one of the most beautiful, peaceful campsites I have ever seen.

Great pubs/walks close by.

Think I likes the sound of Tarn Foot Farm. My style of camping. Will have a word with SWMBO. Can't find a price, although one review said £3 pn ??? (I'll go for a month at that price) Just checked my diary, next hols. are 2nd June. Can't wait that long before next camp, I'll have to fit a few short breaks in before then.
