This may sound like a contradiction, but I have 3 children under 5 and want to take them to a site that, although child friendly, isn't roudy and has a quiet evening policy. Not bothered about loads of facilities, but a pub within walking distance and a small play area would be a bonus. Ideally would like the Lakes - but don't know where to start, there's so much choice!! Didn't want to be kept awake by large groups, drinking late at night....any suggestions?!
If you have any other ideas for a Cotswold site too I'd much appreciate it as this is our next venture.....

check out lowther holiday park looks great i am going down in july looks very child friendly, its in penrith gets lots off good reviews,i am sure other people will come along with good recomendations for you
try stanwix park, i have just returned from there and if you are not right next to the entertainment complex its lovely and quiet. its aout 20 mins drive to the main lakes but there is so much to do near by for kids like trotters farm excellent day out!
I'd think about joining the camping and caravanning club if I was you. We like them because they are quite strict about no noise after a certain time, no large groups, dogs on leads etc. Most of them do have playparks. We've never been down to the lakes camping but I know the c&cc have a few site down there (and in the Cotswolds). Have a look on the website, you can look without joining and they have a good search facility where you can look for sites with a playpark.
Hope you find something.
Nicky
