Can anyone suggest a nice quiet family site within about a 15 minute drive of Blackrock sands please. No entertainment/bars wanted. Good clean facilities and poss play area, along with space to kick a ball please!
Most the sites I have located seem very basic with not too good reviews so wanted first hand advice from those that have been.
Thanks in advance

For a short cut to Black Rock sands, when travelling to Porthmadog from Criccieth, turn right immediately after the railway bridge, down an unmarked, single track road. follow this road for a couple of miles and it brings you down to the back of Black Rock Sands (or Traeth Morfa Bychan as we locals call it!)
Lol - when we wnet to Anglesey last yr looking for Llandwyn beach I saw a sign saying 'Treath Beach' and said that wasn't the one we were looking for!!!! DOH
Thanks for that, I have just sent a text to the site to check availability.
I would prefer to head down the peninsula a bit, maybe to Criccieth or Abersoch, I remember many a summers day when we were in Sunshine in Abersoch and you could see Porthmadog and the hills covered in dark cloud.

Llwyn Bugeilydd, just outside Criccieth, (reviewed on this site) is pretty quiet and has a football pitch with two small goals. Very clean showers, toilets, only about £14-16 a night.
