Hello all

We are after a small quiet campsite in cumbria with electric hook up, ideally between a beach and the mountains, anyone got any suggestions?

Thanks

David

If you are looking for a site between beach and mountains in Cumbria, then try C&CC Ravenglass, C&CC Eskdale, or Fisherground.

Eskdale C&CC site is smallish but can get very busy.  That said I was there on one of their busiest weeks the other week (half term holidays) and site was full and I loved the site.  This is a big confession for me cos I hate busy sites.  But it was busy with families having a lovely time, wasn't rowdy and the quiet time at 10 pm was strictly observed.  The views from the site are gorgeous, there are loads of walks directly from site - for all levels of fitness, 3 pubs within walking distance that all do meals and about just over half an hour to St Bees where we went for a lovely coastal walk and a day on the beach.  Keswick is 45 minutes drive away.  Wastwater a short drive.  This was by far my favourite site in the Lakes and I've been to loads of them and my favourite area.

Just spent a week here, no frills but immaculate. We loved it
If its peace & quiet you want, this is the place
Close to Egremont for all shopping needs
Close to ST Bees for a beautiful clean beach and start of the Coast to Coast Walk
and close to the Western Lakes,Wasdale
Ennerdale, Buttermere and within easy reach of Keswick & Cockermouth
