Hi I wandered if anyone knew of any family festivals? Don't want to pay a fortune but looking for something that would be suitable for 5 year olds. Anywhere within a coupld of hours of birmingham. Thanks in advance.

You could look out for the family rallies that the CC & C&CC are doing this time of year. Some of them are quite big affairs and really good for kids and families. We just returned from a monster inc themed one and it was really good.

Guilfest (Guildford - maybe too far?) is a great family friendly festival, nice small site, kids area and eclectic line up so something for everyone. I've taken my niece and nephew there for the last four or five years (they are 11 and 8 now) and took my daughter last year who was only just one, we always have a great time, very laid back...picnic rugs on the grass in front of main stage instead of mosh pit..!
