Can anyone recommend a nice site with good facilities in the Bucks / Oxford area or within an hours drive from there? Pref with some scenery or somewhere (pub, shops etc) to walk to nearby...?

Bo Peep Caravan Park, between Banbury & Oxford, is a good site which is highly regarded. It is near the village of Adderbury - but have a look at the reviews, and see what you think.

Goodwins Ice Cream Farm, between Bicester and Oxford has showers, loos and ehu and is cheap but if you want all singing all dancing, it isn't, but perfectly ok.

We are spending this week at Greenhill Leisure Park in Bletchingdon.  Cleanest loo blocks I have ever come across, children's play area, laundry and washing up facilities.  There is a pub in the village but shops are in Bicester, although there is a small shop on site.

Swiss Farm at Henley on Thames, great site,small bar on site ,10 min walk into henley and you can walk as far as you want by the thames
