Looking for somewhere to stay for Edinburgh Fringe festival.

Theres a specific Festival village site, but the don't take bookings. Call me old fashioned, but if I'm traveling all the way to visit a specific event, I need to know I've definitely got somewhere to stay.

The festival village looks fantastic, but I'm wondering about booking into nearby Morton Hall.

I have never been to Mortonhall, but can recommend Linwater, which is a short drive to a park and ride into the city. £1.20 each way but no parking charge.
