We're looking for a sheltered site for camping holiday with our tent towards the end of October. North Yorkshire (Helmsley, Pickering, York area).

Any recommendations greatly appreciated.

We satayed on the caravan club site at Rosedale Abbey they don't take tents but there is a site just down the road that has static vans which takes tents and the camping area looked lovely. We walked nearby on a footpath thats how we saw it, looks like it gets good reviews too.

It's a lovely area, pub and two tea rooms in the village.http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=3795
