We have looked for a caravan site near there as my wife grew up there and likes going back.  We are going to try Jarman farm near macclesfield next time.

Hiya it depends how close you want to be - there's astonishingly few campsites round here! Lots in Buxton though. And Leek, which isn't too far to go?

How about Elm Beds in Poynton? I havent been but its worth checking.

We didn't like Elm Beds but it is in a nice location by the canal. The pitches were terrible though and there was a family of gypsies next to us in a massive winnebego with about 20 kids.
