We are going but have booked into hotel acommodation. I have been looking at the programme and it looks like a fantastic entertainment package both day and night.

No sites in Bournemouth itself I think. Closest will be the ones near Christchurch/Bransgore/St Leonards/Ashley Heath areas
Depending how close to the action you want to be I reckon you can get from Holmsley to the eastern end of the cliff at Bournemouth (Southbourne/Boscombe) in about 20-25 minutes normally, slightly longer on airshow weekend. (the air show officially is between Boscombe and Bournemouth piers but we watch it from about 1km further east from Boscombe Pier with no trouble each year. You probably lose out on the smaller displays like the helicopter displays but for majority of plane shows it is fine.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
