Hi,

we're quite new to the touring caravan life and would like to spend Halloween weekend at a child-friendly site with activities planned for Halloween.

We need caravan and tent pitches with ehu's and activities to cater for 3 to 11 year olds. Ideally, within a 1 hour(ish) drive from south Yorkshire.

Any ideas? Saw A brilliant-looking place in Boston, Lincolnshire but it's booked up :(

Sherwood forest holiday park advertise a Halloween weekend and its not too far from you. We have stayed at this popular site but not at Halloween.

We stayed at the grouse and claret in Rowsley

They don't have anything on but nearby there is the railway station which runsa 'ghost train' it's really good fun, everyone gets dressed up, it wasn't too scary for small children either, they had fireworks before it departed too.

I think also Rivendale in Derbys have something on in the pub.

Have a look at Pinewood near Scarborogh. They have big bell tents for hire and do stuff for the kids at halloween.
