For our holiday next year I would like to do some serious geocaching, I was wondering if anyone can recommend campsites that have got a series or caches in the area.

Pick an area where you would like to camp, then go on the geocashing website and check the area. We did this when we went to Norfolk and found about 10 caches in the area. York we did about 5 and could have done more, and have some planned for Northallerton next year.
I was really looking for some thing like the "way down west series" at West Down in Devon which is 109 caches. Or a series that follows a cycle route like the tarka trail.
Is there a way that I can search the Geocaching website for large series?
We are going to Skegness in October which has about 7 caches but won't keep us occupied for long.

Just pick an area of the country and use the search with google maps option to view large series or individual caches, you can zoom in and out of the map as much as you like untill you reach the limit of 500 caches displayed.
Hope this helps.

There are loads and loads of caches around the Milton Keynes area The Grand Union canal has lots of caches and nice walks. The lovely old town of Stony Stratford has a series of caches which guides you through the town. Unsure about where to camp I know there is a camping and caravan club site in MK and a large caravan site (cosgrove)
