We're looking into going to Mull next year.

We've got 2 dogs and I've been trying to find out where we can board them on the island while we do the things which aren't suitable with the dogs in tow! I'm not having any success so wondered if anyone knew of anywhere on the island?

Thanks

if you go on the Isle of Mulltourist website there will be info on there, we go there every year and have seen kennels advertised on the island, but i am so sorry can't remeber where, it is such a beautiful island, we can't wait to go back. there should not be much you cannot do without dogs, ever such a friendly place & wildlfe fantastic.

hope this helps a little!

Hi mandz

I've had a look on one of the Mull tourism websites but couldn't find anything or maybe I'm just looking in the wrong place?

I have now sent an email directly to the tourist board so fingers crossed there's somewhere on the island.

Are there any local newspapers on Mull that you could advertise in, you may find a local person who would be prepare to dog sit for you.

Mrs E - have friends on Mull - will try and get you info. As residents they have same  boat for different reasons.

Are you looking for day trip cover (i.e. out on whale or other wildlife trip?) There are some trip operators (land/sea based who do take dogs) or are you looking at being based on Mull and taking 2/4 day trips to say, Coll/Tiree?

Only (monthly) current local mag is Round&About - roundandabout at ukonline.co.uk

 Hope this helps,

FJ

Hi Ficklejade

Thanks for the reply. One dog unfortunately doesn't like the water very much so probably wouldn't want to go out in a boat!! The other would probably scare off the wildlife! (she's a cocker spaniel).

We'd like to kennel them for a few days in a block booking or failing that day trip cover would be a great help.

We're looking at staying at 2 sites on the island - we really really like the sound of Fidden Farm at Fionnphort as it sounds idyllic. Also, to be nearer to other attractions we are also looking at a few nights at the campsite at Craignure.

Thanks again
