We had a week in spring this year at the CCC Dunstan Hill site. I have written a review on here. Really nice site and good base for seeing the area. Good beaches in walking distance and a fantastic part of the country to visit.

I stayed at South Meadows in Belford. An excellent site with good facilities. Close to the A1 but far enough away so there is no traffic noise, even in a tent. Beach about 3 miles and Holy Island about 10 miles and a 10 minute stroll into the town.

Hello Roger

The CC site at Old Hartley (NE26 4RL) just past Whitley Bay 'on the beach' has one of the best views on any site, straight out to sea and a very quiet site, can get windy at times but location makes up for it!

If your interested National Trusts Delaval Hall just 3 miles from site.http://www.seatondelaval.org.uk/Hall.html

http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=5582 Tel: 0191 237 0256, opens March19-Nov20.

Hope this helps

Mike

HI ROGER,

DUNSTAN HILL WAS GREAT WE STAYED THERE FOR 10 DAYS THIS YEAR.

SITE WARDENS VERY FRIENDLY.  LOTS OF GOOD WALKS FROM SITE PLUS BUS STOP OUTSIDE SITE. BEACHES TO DIE FOR AND LOW NEWTON BY THE SEA (THE SHIP) FANTASTIC.

CHEERS ENID
