Does anyone have any news of this sites future following closure at the end of the season?. I can find nothing on the web, no council applications, no "For Sale" information. It really would be a great loss if this one went forever. Too many are being turned into mobile home parks and I fear this may go the same way as an extension to the one next door. I cannot even find an address for the local estate who let it to the CC. I doubt that I would get an answer to "To whom it may concern" Doldowlod Hall!.

Any help appreciated,

Many thanks,

Woolbrook

I agree a real 'gem' of a site which is a great loss to the network. Rumour has it (and it is just a rumour) that the adjacent static site are expanding into the area that was the CC site. That was what was told us when on the site a few months ago by a neighbour on site who went there regulary. A real shame as the views are fantastic, the dog walk the best I have used. We need more back to basic sites rather than the all singing and dancing but unfortunately most people now want the later!

rather than the web give the Council a call, ask to be put through to "Land Terriers"

On a more sarcastic note there wont be anything in the Caravan Club Magazine about it, but if you want the latest big sloping roof stupid 4x4 or a list of best "old vans" old being 2006-2008, then read on
