is it for a tent / motorhome or tourer?

When are you thinking of as this can make a difference as to which sites are suggested depending upon their opening.

Have you tried this   http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/calcdist.asp Tick the refine boxes on the left, then click on the area you wish to visit, at bottom of the page how many miles 5, 10 etc update and it shows you all the sites in that area.

Hi peajam welcome to the site.

How about Chapel Lane caravan club site Birmingham, it's easy to get into town and there are regular buses. If you are members and go in Feb you will save 50% on pitch fees too. I think they take non members but it could be worth joining to get the reduction.

Also there is Abbey Wood caravan club site near london, we have never been here but I have heard good reports.
