Hi,looking at the posts here, did'nt think such pitches were avalable,i think if i wanted pitch with private bathroom and all the appliances that you have at home, i would do one of two things, get static van, or just give up caravaning and use hotels, no offence to OPer,but why would you want private bathroom on site,i think it would only serve to isolate you from all other caravaners,as you would never need to go to the amenities block, you will miss out on the general chit chat while going to and from there.

Padstow touring park in cornwall offer something like this with some of their larger pitches, we booked one a couple of years ago think it was called a Kernow pitch. It did cost a little more but still reasonable.
There are some in France, I think it was at Perpignan. Every site had its own little 'shed' with toilet and shower. Also surrounded by your own low hedge, it was very nice and twee.
Pity we broke down there! Put half a tank of petrol in a diesel engine, lol. We sorted it out... eventually....
In all my years of caravanning I have never come across this. The nearest thing is Chew Valley site near Bath. This is an adult only site, that does have private individual bathrooms, but not on your pitch

There are approximately 50 sites in France offering private bathrooms, either on the pitch or a bathroom in the facilities block to which you have a key for the duration of your holiday. The average cost of this on top of standard pitch fees is around 5 euros per night. Certainly nothing like the £18+ mentioned above.
We have stayed on a couple, one in SW France and for 20 euros we had a hedged pitch of more than 100 sq metres and a spacious shower room with toilet. On the outside was a covered area with a sink with hot and cold running water and a fridge under a worktop. The site had a huge pool with flumes and shutes and free sunbeds, restaurant, takeaway, small supermarket, entertainment every night and free wifi.Try finding anything like that in the UK in August for around £18 all in per night.
you have all been a great help. we have booked at Monkey Tree for July and are looking to go to the Nolfolk Coast at the end of August if we can get in. Any suggestions for camp sites with pitches with good privacy, maybe hedges between pitches?? Thanks in advance

We stayed on a site in Cornwall last year which had 2 bathrooms available for hire that you could book in advance and pay per session. I thought this was a really good idea if you had babies or toddlers but wouldnt bother myself.
Our sort of camping would not be for everyone - we are self sufficient and I am happy without any showers or toilets on the site, never mind our own!
Its interesting that they do this in France though, wonder if there is a market for it in the UK? Would love to know if anyone would want to pay extra for it.
It might just be me but I wouldn't want a bath on a campsite anyway. I LOVE baths at home but would not want to use a bath that any tom, dick or harry had used.
Hi ive just returned from Cawood Park nr Tadcaster /York, and they have just had a brand new toilet block built and you can hire your own private bathroom for the time youre on the site for £5 per day, but no one else gets to use it.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
