Dixons CL in the middle of Coniston. Great place.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013

There used to be a lovely site at the top end of Buttermere, so about a 30 minute walk from the village and the excellent pub there.

Been to the third one on cwdc56768 list The Wheatsheaf at Low Lorton, Basic site but made most welcome, nice friedly pub, good food even the free curry on a Saturday night. Children are allowed in the pub.

conniston hall camp site at conniston has a pub at the top of the hill or a brisk 20min walk into the center of the village takes you to plenty of pubs!

This CC site has a good pub/grub & Pitch/Putt golf course only a short walk from Site and is close to lake Windermere - lovely views.
