Hi all,

Myself, hubbie and dog plan to make our way down (from Wales) to Dorset for our 3 week getaway in June, in our VW T25.  Just wondering, before I start looking through the campsites, whether anyone has any campsites they can recommend.  I spent many holidays as a youngster at Rockley Sands in Poole, but can see its now a Haven, shame.  Any help on finding a campsite within walking distance of a pub, and maybe near a dog friendly beach would be great.  We're up for long walks aswell, although don't think the 13 year old lurcher would now agree!

Thanx, JoozyJoo

Norden Farm?

Easy driving distance of several beaches, at least three pubs within walking distance, dog walk (and even "pooch parlour"), and if anyone from Wales needs any more castles or steam railways, good examples of both!

We like Norden Farm at Corfe.

http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/results3.asp?search=norden+farm&by=sitename

Nice site - don't charge for dogs. Long walks right off the site. Don't need the VW.

A walk into Corfe to pubs. (dog & walker friendly)

Loads of beaches about and studland beach allow dogs somewhere but not all, all year.

The view of Poole harbour from the golf course on top of the hill on the way to studland is magnificent. One of the very best in England.

Walk out to old harry rocks over the cliff pathe for more fabulous views.
