Anyone reccommend a campsite in/near Durham suitable for a visit to the cricket. It would also be for an all male group (but they are all 40ish and not a problem.....usually!!)

They could try Byreside near Consett, not too far from Durham.

The Durham cricket ground is at Chester le street

I would not like to walk there from Durham.

There are two sites near to Chester le Street Riverside Stadium

1 Bobby Shaftoe Caravan Park at Beamish, about 5 to 6 miles

2 Finchael Abbey Caravan Park about 6 to 7 miles drive or 4 miles along the river if you feel energetic.
