Anyone reccommend a campsite in/near Durham suitable for a visit to the cricket. It would also be for an all male group (but they are all 40ish and not a problem.....usually!!)

Thanks

They could try Byreside near Consett, not too far from Durham.

There are two sites near to Chester le Street Riverside Stadium

1 Bobby Shaftoe Caravan Park at Beamish, about 5 to 6 miles

2 Finchael Abbey Caravan Park about 6 to 7 miles drive or 4 miles along the river if you feel energetic.

Both sites are listed on here.

Finchale Abbey no longer take tents according to their website, tents allowed only for the Great North Run weekend, dont know why.

I live in Chester le street, to be honest camp sites are few and far between, lots of decent hotels nearby though .
