Evening everyone.

I am considering a week at the above in Swanage in the summer. It looked very nice when we drove past the other year, and seems to have good write-ups on here and elsewhere.

But a couple of the early reviews mentioned poor TV reception, and I see the Freeview coverage checker says "no". I guess the nearby downs block the line of sight to the nearest mast on the Isle of Wight.

I know telly shouldn't be important on your summer hols, but we never spend every night down the bar. So it would be good to hear from anyone who has stayed and can confirm the position?

(And have anything else to add about the site!)

stayed there a couple of years ago. our pitch was right at the top of the site, opposite the toilet block.

i was using sattelite dish so no problem as i had a clear line of sight to sat.

the site is verry hilly ,with a steep hillside to the northeast.

if your pitch is down at the bottom in the "hollow" i would think there may not be good freeview reception.
