The UK and Irish mobile service providers are seperate, so you will probably have to buy a dongle for each country.

Even though vodafone and O2 operate in both countries they are run as seperate companies.

For info on Irish mobile broadband your best bet is to ask a question on "boards.ie".

I have a three dongle and a t-mobile dongle (its a long story), but the T-Mobile by far is the better deal. If you get one, the first 30 days wireless internet costs something like £2. I found the 3 one wasnt as reliable a connection as the T-Mobile one too.
