Just wondered if anyone could help me in locating somewhere to hold a wedding reception next year? Looking for somewhere guests can camp and make a weekend of it, ideally with a barn so we don't have to get a marquee.
We're based on south London but can travel an hour or so - willing to go in any direction for the right place! We just want somewhere we can put our own stamp on without being tied into expensive packages we don't really want.
Any help would be HUGELY appreciated as I'm drawing a blank with everywhere at the moment. Thanks!

Shame you are so far away, we have a large 125sqm marquee that holds 150 people, we have two weddings this year, can offer BBQ's, Hog Roast, live music, bar etc.

Lumb Farm Country Club in Marehay Nr Ripley Derbyshire, within easy reach of the MI and A38, They are NOT a campsite where anyone can just turn up, but more geared to outdoor events and rallies, complete with camp field and showers.
They are registered for wedding ceremonies on site, and have several rooms for hire depending on the size of your party, They do not charge for room hire if you buy your catering from them, wedding buffets start at £12.50 a head, Sunday lunch is £7.50 per adult, they have full bar facilities and licence.

Pillaton are doing weddings this year - a well respected campsite turned wedding venue. I think you would still need a marquee there but they would probably sort it. Excellent flat site with fishing pools but most likely doubling your 1hr travelling distance.
Don't know if we'd be able to assist you? we're only 95 miles from Guildford (about 2hrs on a good day!). Our site has 22 pitches & is at the rear of our pub which also has a function room - have held several wedding receptions over the last few years. Site ref 3879.
