Spen House cs, nr Boroughbridge,  Good facilities,  great area,  harrogate 9 miles, Ripon 7 miles,  York 17 miles, knaresborough 7 miles, Fountains Abbey 10 miles,  Yorks dales 15 miles, Lightwater valley theme park just outside Ripon.  Boroughbridge has good pubs, a big Morrisons just up the road, farm shop, lots of nice villages  with good places to eat and drink,  It was £14 a night incl.

Not a CL, but used to be cheap: Byreside near Consett in Durham, has facilities. For some reason, as we normally prefer CLs, most of the sites in Yorkshire we have been to were CSs, some nice ones if you are also a C&CC member.
