Does anyone know of a small site in and around the Peak Distict. All we require is toilets, showers and possibly a playground. This is to visit in the summer with our caravan.
Thanks

Not a CL, but has the feel of one. I reviewed this site in July 2009 and seems to have been very positively received since There are two fields keeping tents and 'vans separate. Each has its own facilities and you can use either. No playground, but plenty of room for the kids.
Try the Greyhound pub at Knifeton nr Ashbourne, or the Pudding Room at Carsington water, there are also plenty of farmers field £5 a night type basic campsites along the same road as the CC Blackwell Plantation site, but i dont know if they have toilets or showers, but they do have stunning views across the valley and are within walking distance of Carsington water with all its Bike trails and visitor centre, free play and picnic areas ect.

Barn Farm, Birchover, Derbys. approx 4 miles from Bakewell, 14miles from Ashbourne, brilliant site, lovely, lovely views, this year a play area, clean toilets, showers, even a sauna and peacocks wandering around. We stayed for 6 weeks last year and doing the same for this year.
Waterloo Hotel, Buxton. Right on The Limestone way and a short stroll to The Monsal trail. Its a c&cc certified site but non members can go to it, The pub serves good food and there is plenty of room for kids to play and a beer garden out the back. The toilet and showers are new and immaculate. have a look at reviews on this site, sorry i dont know how to link you to it, Im a bit of a computer dummy Im afraid. J x

To stick to the licence rules non members would have to join or at least fill in a membership form.
