Hi I wonder if anyone can help? My mum is very disabled and not able to camp anymore. She just bought me a new tent for my 50th birthday at the NEC. I would like to arrange a weekend in the tent close to where she lives so that we can bring her to the site for a few hours and take her home. We would need disabled access and well equipped toilet facilities. My mum lives in Flint, Flintshire, North Wales. It's about 10 miles from Chester, 5 miles from Mold and about 20 miles from Prestatyn. We would also need EHU so that we can keep the tent warm for her. Thanks

Most site have good disabled access. Do a search on here and put in your area and requirments. Good luck

Hi, I use a wheelchair.
Do the campsite search on here - go to map search and down the left hand side you will see check boxes tick tent tick disabled facilities and then click search. Also Camping and Caravanning Club and Caravanning Club have same search facility for their sites most of which have excellent accessible facilities. Near you is Delamere Forest lovely site with accessible facilities.

As a rule of thumb if a site as a new toilet/shower block built or substantially refurbished (last few years) by law it must provide accessible facilities.

I have now done a search and have e.mailed The Plassey in Wrexham and another site in Rhudllan to see how far the toilets are from the tent pitches.
