I have trawled through hours of reviews (2 hours yesterday and 3 hours tonight) bored now lol Please help!!
I am looking for a site in or around hampshire, the new forest or dorset area...
#must be close to some sort of local attractions for family days out
# somewhere where has decent sized pitches for our 8 man tent (7x3)
#not too exposed to wind, noisy roads etc...
#bar or some sort of facilities on site (although not essential) ****but EHU is a must****
shabma is a no no as is sandy balls

Try Herston Yards Farm we stayed there last year, large pitches in the "Oak" field all with EHU we had Oak 13. Bar, food and shop on site, short walk to swanage railway, we had a nice time there
C&CC CS so basic with no entertainment facilities, but has toilet/showers/washing up facilities.
Near some lovely beaches (Lyme Regis, Bridport) Weymouth for the hustle and bustle of a seaside town and on the border with Devon - we visited Exmouth and had a boat trip on the estuary.

Wilksworth Farm at Wimbourne. Close to Poole/Bournemouth/Christchurch and also New Forest and a couple of country parks. Swanage and weymouth also not to far. Although there's no bar there's a games room, cafe, swimming pool, bmx track, tennis court and very large play area with football pitch. Pitches are good size would easily fit your tent in with loads of room to sit round in to spare.
Went to Lytchett 2 years ago for a week & had a great time ... in fact it was a brilliant holiday ...... however ... Went last year & it was almost enough to put us off camping for good!
My review on last years trip was unfortunately edited heavily in the Camp Site Search so I could not give a true account of our visit.
The trick with Lytchett & to remain as positive as possible about it, is to recommend you avoid peak holiday times in order to get the best out of it!
If you want quiet early mornings or late evening then please pitch well away from the play area as pitches are situated against the play area fence .... you won't be able to have a conversation over the noise otherwise!
Also, the eggs during high season are not from their own stock as they would otherwise suggest & may not (as in our experience) be as fresh as you would hope!
Sorry Lytchett Manor if you read this, but standards fell considerably during our stay last year!
