Hi
Would liketo try camping in the Peak District for the first time. Campsite for tents,with EHU and a playground. Not bothered what part of the peak district we stay, but would prefer to go walking/hiking without having to drive and good views. Dont want one with a clubhouse/pub. Would b very grateful for any suggestions (dont want to pay more than £30 night tho (2 adults,1 child,tent with elec in aug)

try castleton area   ther is a caravan clubsite on the edge of the village   and another one in the village beforehand (forgotten its name)   both are fine

It's lovely here and great walks from the site, lovely views too. Oh yes and a friendly pub at Taddington that does really nice meals at reasonable prices.
