Hiya

Its been a while since we have been away, we have a trailer tent, we would like to go away just for a few days over Easter, can anyone suggest a good campsite, that accepts, trailer tents, electic hook ups - important (obviously) and a reasonable price.

I am hoping to just turn up - but - as i'm a little rusty (not been camping for 3 yrs) I know - but we are getting back into it now ;-) is it best to book in advance as its Easter.

Thanks to anyone who has some good tips

Sarah xx

Hi sorry my reply wont be in time for this weekend but yes you need to book in advance. I would recommend High Straggleton farm near Whitby its a working cattle farm the owners are very helpful we stayed there last summer on numerous occasions, last years tarrif was £10 per night with £2 for electric hook up. There are now two free shower blocks and toilets. The farm is very exposed to the elements with fantastic views of Whitby Abbey and coastline, we would walk into Whitby most days around 1 mile and stay all day then pop into a Taxi back for around £4.50. Sandsend is in the opposite direction along the coast that too is around a mile walk with stunning views and quaint little shops and cafes to look around.

I hope you get a chance to visit here is there website details..
