I have searched the listings but unless you know the name it's hard to riffle through the campsites, perhaps there could be a voting system so the campsites are displayed in order of preference?
Anyway... Can anyone suggest a smallish campsite in Dorset near the beach (or right next to it!) which is quiet (no bar or entertainment) that will accept a caravan?
We are a family of four (2 children aged 4 & 6) and want a nice relaxing site where we can watch the kids play and just flop out with a nice view!
Any suggestions??! x
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Seadown at Charmouth is on a beach. I wouldn't say it's a small site as they have some statics there but it isn't a "bells & whistles" Haven type site either. The touring pitches are a short walk to the beach.
Try searching Crabbs Bluntshay Farm, It's a C&CC CS, we went last year. It is not on the beach, but not far from Bridport. Nice and quiet and has washing/toilet etc. facilities.
Golden Cap...pretty well right on the beach. The site is quite large but set out in different sections so appears 'cosy' and caravans are closer to the beach than tents. No bar on site but it does have a pub next door which does good food.
We've off to Seadown again for Easter (which will be our 3rd visit).
It's only a 10 min walk through the site down to the beach and their prices are also really good. We're paying £14 a night over the Easter break (2 adults, EHU, awning and 2 dogs)
