Fallbarrow, 200 yards out of town

Fallbarrow is a caravan site and does not accept tents.

I don't think there are any sites for tents actually in Windermere or Bowness, most of them are a few miles away.

Windermere C&CC Site, not actually in Windermere, just outside Kendal actually.

Nearest bus stop is 1.5 miles from the site, nearest railway station 3 miles from the site at Staveley.

It's a lovely site, not far from where I live, but I visit often.

Or, there's the Kendal C&CC Site which is a mile from the railway station - same line that takes you to Windermere and 0.5mile from the nearest bus stop.
