Hi folks in a couple of weeks im off to killegruer caravan site in the kintyre area i was just wondering if any1 could recommend a nice place to eat as its my 40th birthday when we are there.
The Argyll hotel is about 5 minutes drive from us but cant seem to get any reviews anywhere.that seems to be the near place around the area but if needs must Campbeltown is more likely.
thx John

Argyll Hotel - ate there loads of times, fantastic food, gorgeous location right at beach, friendly staff.
I'd recommend it without a doubt, might even be there too, as I'll probably be at Point Sands (Tayinloan)in a few weeks and like a wee trip to Argyll Hotel for dinner.

Kintyre is my favourite place on the earth, just stunning, whichever coast you're on.
Never been to Killegruer, as my heart is in Point Sands, but as just down the coast from my usual spot, it will still be as stunning, you should be able to watch seals bask on the rocks, or take a trip to Gigha or a walk out to Davvar Island on the causeway. (Campbeltown)
Nothing better than sitting on beach around a campfire with your loved ones, a little bit of alcohol flowing and the most fantastic sunset you've ever seen, then later on a sky full of stars you would think was made on a Hollywood set.
Have a great trip.
