Hi,

A bit random but we stayed at Hawkshead Campsite herelast time round and loved it. We went for a walk to the nearby pubs which were like going back in time, but in a good way. There is a charity swimming thing going on at Lake Windermere so everywhere is booked up.

Here is a streetmap of the area with kings arms, red lion pub etc: here

We live in Cheshire so 2hours drive is about our limit. Anyone know of anywhere that's like this? Just basically beautiful countryside with a few picturesque pubs for this Saturday?

Thanks sxis, just tried them but we can only do the one night (Saturday). I've offered to pay for two nights but only use one but it's working out a little bit too much for everyone's budget.

Ahhhh back to the drawing board! Anyone else got any ideas?
