My two children are very 'into' the famous five books and I would love to take them 'old fashioned' camping! Somewhere nice and quiet away from noisy play parks and electrical gadgets where we can get back to basics with ideally a farm where we can buy our fresh eggs etc...! Could probably do with out the obligatory famous five adventure though!Any ideas?? Thanks x

What area are you looking at?
------------- Visit Llandrindod Wells! Great scenery, walks, cycling, red kites. Ideal for exploring Mid Wales.

Ah the famous five. My daughter used to love them when she were little. Still got the books and videos. They will have to go though as i'm downsizing and getting rid of stuff that won't ever be used again. Good luck with your plan------------- Enjoy life whilst you can, it doesn't last for ever!!!!!!

Why not try one of the sites at Corfe Castle? (aka Kirrin? Or one of them anyway!)
http://www.gingerpop.co.uk/
I've stayed on most around there over the years, & they tend to be places with just loos & showers & a little shop.
Of course, if you're 'East' or 'North' West Sussex it could be a trek.

Yes, it has to be the Isle of Purbeck - check some of the sites on Camp Site Search, Norden Farm , for example, which while it does have a play park and a few EHUs, is still a working farm!
There are several other sites in the area which I think you'd find suitable, including several C&CC Certificated Sites.
