Hello,

Ive been trawling through the forum trying to find my ideal site (as I personally prefer recommendations) and Ive found so many perfect sites. I was reading a thread about sites with play areas but unfortunately it was the wrong part of the country!

Does anyone know any sites with a good play area (pref within eyes distance)

Im in Wiltshire so only really want to travel 1.5 hours (2 max)
Site can be Wilts, Oxfordshire, Dorset, Forest of Dean, Hampshire, Berkshire, Gloucs

Oh and NOT West Fleet in Weymouth

Thanks!

Hi, you can search for sites and read visitor reviews from here Campsite Search

Once in there you can pinpoint a place on the map, or select your chosen area in the country, then you can choose your criteria, e.g. tents, toilets, showers, playarea, shop. This will narrow your results down to only the sites that are suitable

Cheers  Ratty

Fantastic play area at The Inside Park in Blandford.  Can be seen from all pitches as in the middle.

I agree with vwstarbug! We used to have a caravan in storage there & used the site quite a lot a few yrs back. We visited again last autumn & the play area had improved again, its got so much for the kids to play on. Myself & my hubby have even had a go.....shh don't tell ;o)

Watermouth valley camping.  North Devon.  I'ts probably on your limit - 2 hours I would imagine, but a great little site.  You won't find reviews of it - it really is word-of-mouth.  We visited recently with 10 children (not all ours!) aged 3yrs - 7yrs - they had a ball.  There's a super play area next to a shallow stream.  The children loved it.  You've also got watermouth castle (almost straight across the road), watermouth harbour and the site is on the south west coast path.  We loved it so much we've already booked to return.

Cotswold View has a couple of play areas. Just request a pitch near to one like we did :-) The kids had a great time and so did we as we could keep our eye on them.
