Hiya

Am thinking about camping weekend after next. Won't be leaving until about 6.30pm on the Friday night so don't want to travel too far.

Can anyone recommend somewhere (with a playground / wood) preferably no more than 45 mins from Cheltenham?

We love Thistledown, just outside Nailsworth.

Fantastic woods to explore/play in and you can have campfires.

Composting loos were kept exceptionally clean when we stYes there back in the May half term anf lovely hot showers.

We've camped in the elderflower orchard (where you can park your car next to your tent) and also in one of the meadows where you leave your car and either take your kit down or hitch a ride in their 4x4 mule. Absolutely fantastic for the kids as they can run around safely

We havent stayed there but I remember reading some very good reviews of it on here.

Theres always Cattle Country and Berkeley Castle to explore or Slimbridge WWT.
