Apologies if there is a way of searching but I am looking for a site that accepts group bookings preferably within an hr of Portsmouth. We are 3 families who would prefer to just turn up, as we are fair weather campers so don't want to loose money if we can't go. Any recommendations 2 of the party have dogs. Ideally would have a play area for kids.

We went to Ecclesden Farm near Arundel (Angmering, actually) a couple of weekends ago. We were a group of 3. It's a fairly basic site - two loos and showers for the ladies with only one hand basin, two basins, urinals, one toilet and one shower for the men. Three washing-up sinks. That's it. It said the hot water was limited, but that was not our experience.
You pitch around the edge of the field we were on and the children can play in the middle. HTH
