We are visiting family near the area //with caravan early mid Sept  .. does anyone have any recommendations for a nice quiet site/cl that would suit us a for 3 days?

I haven't been yet but we are booking for it shortly as its close to us and a friend has been and she really liked it.
Its Lady Heyes in Frodsham Cheshire so its only 20mins away from Knutsford its not a CL but you can pick your own pitch when booking online and the reviews look really favourable.

There is an adult only site called Royal Vale on the outskirts of Knutsford. It is a new site and is really nice.

There is also Lamb Cottage, an adults only site near Whitegate which is also about 20 mins from Knutsford, we go there every year, highly recommended.
