We're heading to Rynys Camping Site near Betws-y-coed next week for a few days after reading great reports on here. Does anyone know if there are shops and pubs in the area as there appears to be conflicting info on the reviews. Any other info would be greatly appreciated too!

Hi,

Betws-y-Coed has a range of shops (mainly outdoor supplies) and there are a few pubs if I remember and a couple of two rooms.Have not been for a few years, assume it is the same.Snowdon is a great walk up,the track which follows the train track up (can't remember what the name of the that particular way is called) the easiest way up (!) but the longest, very scenic.Have a nice time

Rynys Farm is just over 2 miles from Betws Y Coed. There is a cafe opposite the entrance (Conwy Falls)and a Spar in Betws. The nearest supermarket is in Llanwrst approx 4 miles away. There is a pub on the A5 ( think it is called Silver Fountain?)but wouldn't recommend walking there as the road is busy, but at the back of the campsite is a footpath to Capel Garmon where I think there is a pub. Not been there though!!

You will absolutely love it there. The views are stunning and Carol is one of the friendliest people you will meet. We go at least once a year and she always remembers us.

Hope you have a lovely time.

Julie

Dont know about the campsite location but there is plenty to do in Betws Y Coed - we visited there a couple of weeks ago and had a fabulous meal in one of the pub/hotels there... absolutely beautiful little town
