There are loads of dog friendly sites, have you used the site search function on here?
You would be able to be more specific in your choices. Camp site search
------------- Smile - There is no such thing as the wrong weather, just the wrong clothing.
Hi where are you wanting to go and what kind of sites do you prefer, big, small lots of facilities or quiet and peacefull.
We have camped BP (before pooh) and after and most sites that we have stayed on would have been suitable with or without the pooch. Camped mainly in Yorkshire and North Lincs.
We now look for sites that have a good dog walk, if theres a pub on site or within walking distance we prefer it to be child and pooch friendly. We also like clean showers and toilets but now actualy prefer quieter sites now our son is 12.
Black Bull, Pickering
Worlds Way, Malton
Are a couple of our favorites that are great for kids and dogs.
Heard that Vale of Pickering and Golden Square are great for kids and dogs, not stayed but looked around them both and were impressed.
Rigg farm at Whitby is very dog friendly and in the area you seem to be camping in.
The most dog friendly site we have come across is Ross Farm in Devon, we booked up for 4 days at the end of a South Coast tour so the dog could have a holiday too! It has a dog shower, a field just for dogs to exercise in and the bar allows dogs in too. It's also tip top for humans!
------------- Coming soon to a campsite near you, Jake, Mrs Jake, Little legs, Bosdog the Doodle and Olly the Cavachon.
2014:
August: Scarborough, High Yedmandale. Not tenting though, using one of their lovely holiday homes!

Thank you so much for all your comments. Will check them all out on line. Sold our last caravan last year (kids missing it!) now in the process of getting another but didn't have dogs before so now a little different.
We have two pugs and holidays abroad are out for us now! We too live in Leeds and often go to Serenity at Hinderwell which is lovely. Quite small and not a lot there (so might not be great for kids) but loads of places within easy reach and you can walk into the village in a couple of minutes which has shops and pubs. Fabulous facilities - best showers ever!
If you want to go further afield we have just come back from our annual two weeks at Broad Farm on Filbey Broad in Norfolk. Absolutely fab for everyone - dogs, adults and kids. Big site with good facilities. Lovely big swimming pool and great club with entertainment every night. Loads of good dog walks and Norfolk in general is very dog friendly - all pubs accept them
