Just arrived home after our 4 night camping adventure at Meridith Farm in Hereford! got to say it was a wonderful place really back to how camping should be! ..he didnt mind where you pitched ..we was allowed to have campfires..and for 2 cars a very large 8 man tent 2 adults and 2 children, with electric hook up at just £12.50 a night i thiink we had a bargain stay! ok the toilets and shower left a bit to be desired for but cant complain at the price and the beautiful views! i can really reccomend! :O) a good time had by all! even has a £1 shop on site with an honesty box which sells fresh laid eggs (cockrells wake you up every morning ;O) ) ..fresh home made jam and everything you may have forgot! ..there was even books to borrow and a toy box... and a whole range of stuff (kettles, mini fridge, iron, hair drier allsorts really) to borrow if youd forgot anything! ..heĀ even had spare sleeping bags for you to just help yourself to! .. a camp site with everything!!! ..we will be going back :D ..

No fire pits but he doesnt mind you having one on the grass..we just collected a few stones that were lying around and had the fire in the middle ;O) which was what he suggested to do...
is it quite unusual to find a site that lets you light fires on the ground directly - most I have looked at have fire pits?
echo brickiemum - pics would be fab.
