I've had to work all summer but now have the chance for a few days off next week and a little camping trip! Feeling guilty about the lack of a holiday this year I just told the kids they could choose the campsite. Their reply - somewhere with a swimming pool with a slide!

Now our preferred sites are usually a little more basic - if there are showers I reckon we're glamping!

Do any of you lovely people have any recommendations? Location - anywhere in southern England!

I know Yeatheridge Farm (Devon) has a indoor pool with a shute. Now I'm not saying it's an "all singing, all dancing" fancy pool with shutes everywhere but it has one!

It might suit you as the site is basic (and very rural) but has the benefit of the pool.

we went to Yeatheridge Farm a couple years a go book a week stayed a night hated it its in the middle of no where and the pitches where awfull

have a look at unity farm somerset and grange court paington

any haven or park resorts will fit the kids bill if not yours lol Haven are very cheap once school hols over for what you get but does not suit all

I did say it was very rural.

As for Brean - wouldn't touch it with a barge pole! The beaches are awful.

Paignton is better.

Didn't like yeatheridge either felt like I was an uninvited guest. Lots od regulars. Slide not that exciting and pool a bit yukky.
Loads in hoseasons and haven brochures that you could have a look at

Hobourne Cotswolds has a pool (both indoor and outside) the Indoor one has a slide though. hth

Unity farm - we have been a few times and found it to be one if the better sites geared to kids!
