Hi. We have decided to camp in tent over the new year for 3/4 nights. Anyone reccommend anywhere within 2 hrs of bristol. Also any camping tips appreciated. Will have ehu and fan heater.Thanks.

New forest.  My Parents stayed at the Sandy Balls campsite over the Millenium.  Not that cheap though, but much cheper than a hotal, and more fun.

Stonehenge is under two hours from Bristol so it might suit the OP.

For those further north, there is a suggestion that the Cumbrian mountains might make a nice venue at New Year - see this UKCC thread
