Hi,

I wonder if anyone can help. I am looking for suggestions for a campsite for next year June time. We have a tent and would like to find somewhere really scenic with hills / mountains and breathtaking views. I was looking around the midlands / north england, (Lakes / Dales etc) but can't seem to find anything.

Does anyone have any idea's / experience ?

I was going to suggest Cae Du in Beddgelert

You could try around Beeston Castle and the Bickerton Hills

I can recommend the C & CC Eskdale site in the village of Boot, western lake district - lovely site with fantastic views in gorgeous countryside, and the miniature railway to Ravenglass on the coast leaves from the little station just down the lane. Very quaint little village with a couple of nice pubs - the Boot Inn is the best imo, good meals at reasonable prices and you know you've had something to eat. Lots of walks from the site, England's highest mountain close by (Scafell Pike) and England's deepest lake (Wastwater) only about a 5 mile drive away. I don't think you'd get much more scenic than round there.

If you are willing to travel a little further why not come to Wales, lots of hills

Visit Llandrindod Wells! Great scenery, walks, cycling, red kites. Ideal for exploring Mid Wales.
