We are planning a quick 2 nighter this week. Doing a bit of canoeing and biking. Provisionally looking at Coniston Hall - Coniston, but seeing the forecast it looks like we are going to need a bit of shelter. Can anyone recommend a sheltered site nearby ? Coniston/Hawkshead. Am also looking at Low Wray/Hawkshead.
Any recommendations welcome.

two sites in/near hawkshead,Hawk`d hall, which is rather sloping limited level pitches moreso near the low end of the site, these were quite boggy when there in mid august so would imagine that they would be pretty boggy stil. there is one in the village itself unsure of the name looks very flat and better sheltered that H`hall

Thanks for the replies. May take a run past the site in the centre of Hawkshead on the way over to Coniston. No kids with us so we need a pub nearby :) can't see us struggling to find a spot either way.
